An NPI is a unique ten-digit identifier assigned to covered healthcare providers in the United States.

NPPES

The National Plan and Provider Enumeration System is the CMS system used to enumerate healthcare providers and publish public NPI data.

Healthcare Provider Taxonomy

A healthcare provider taxonomy code classifies a provider's type, classification, or specialization using the NUCC reference set.

Enumeration Type

Enumeration type distinguishes individual providers from organizational providers in NPPES.

Release Manifest

A release manifest is a versioned record connecting source artifacts, transforms, quality results, and published files.

Checksum

A checksum is a deterministic digest used to verify that a source or release artifact has not changed.
